Anka Leśniak (PL) // 27.09.24 // 4 pm // site-specific performance
Born in Bielsko-Biała, artist, researcher, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (2004) and History of Art at the University of Łódź (2003), lecturer in the Department of Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, lives and works in Łódź and Gdańsk. Her interests include site-specific art, video and performance, especially in the context of feminist issues and art in public spaces. Her performative works explore themes related to memory, symbolic reconstruction, herstory, ethnic and cultural identity, migration, and language. She has participated in over a hundred exhibitions both in Poland and abroad. In 2019 she was awarded a scholarship from OeAD (Austrian Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research). Since then, she has been a member of the TFR Archive.
