Das Thema der diesjährigen Veranstaltung lautet SOUNDs of stre!fen. Die von Kurator Emrah Gökdemir eingeladenen Künstler werden Anfang Juli nach Görlitz/Zgorzelec kommen und in diesen Tagen die Städte erkunden, sich von ihnen inspirieren lassen und ortsspezifische Performances entwickeln, die eng mit Klängen und Geräuschen verbunden sind.
Im Laufe der Woche, am 6. Juli, gibt es die Gelegenheit, die Künstler kennenzulernen und mit ihnen über ihre Arbeit und Konzepte zu sprechen. Das Treffen findet in der Berlinerstr. 44 um 19:00 Uhr statt.
Am Samstag, den 8. Juli, von 17:00 bis 20:00 Uhr, zwischen Waidhausplatz und Fischmarkt, präsentieren die Künstler ihre Performances vor den Augen und Ohren des Publikums – in Kooperation mit dem ViaThea.
Performancekunst steht seit ihren Anfängen in einer organischen Beziehung zu Klängen. Diese können sowohl ihr Material als auch Gegenstand der Auseinandersetzung sein. Seien Sie nicht nur Zuschauer, sondern auch Zuhörer! Lassen Sie sich von dem, was um Sie herum passiert, überraschen, irritieren und mitreißen. – Emrah Gökdemir.

Temat przewodni tegorocznego spotkania to SOUNDS of stre!fen. Artyści zaproszeni przez kuratora, Emraha Gökdemir, przyjeżdżają do Görlitz/Zgorzelca na początku lipca, by odkrywać Europa-Miasto, czerpać z niego inspiracji i tworzyć związane z różnorodnymi dźwiękami performansy site-specific.
W ciągu tygodnia, 6 lipca, będzie okazja do spotkania z artystami i porozmawiania z nimi o ich pracy i koncepcjach. Spotkanie odbędzie się przy Berlinerstrasse 44 o godzinie 19:00.
W sobotę, 8 lipca, od 17:00 do 20:00, między Waidhausplatz a Fischmarktem, artyści zaprezentują swoje działania oczom i uszom publiczności – we współpracy z festiwalem ViaThea.
Od samego początku sztuka performance miała organiczny związek z dźwiękiem. Mogą one być zarówno jej materią, jak i przedmiotem konfrontacji. Bądź nie tylko widzem, ale i słuchaczem! Daj się zaskoczyć, zaintrygować i ponieść temu, co dzieje się wokół ciebie. – Emrah Gökdemir.

The theme of this year’s event is SOUNDs of stre!fen. The artists invited by curator Emrah Gökdemir will come to Görlitz/Zgorzelec at the beginning of July and spend these days exploring the cities, drawing inspiration from them, and developing site-specific performances closely linked to sounds and noises.
During the week, on July 6, there will be an opportunity to meet the artists and talk with them about their work and concepts. The meeting will take place at Berlinerstr. 44 at 19:00.
On Saturday, July 8, from 17:00 to 20:00, between Waidhausplatz and Fischmarkt, in cooperation with ViaThea Festival, the artists will present their performances in front of the eyes and ears of the audience.
Since its beginnings, performance art has had an organic relationship with sounds. These can be both its material and the object of its confrontation. Be not only spectators but also listeners! Let yourself be surprised, irritated, and carried away by what is happening around you. – Emrah Gökdemir.

Maler, Autor von Performances, Gedichten und gesprochenen Geschichten.
Absolvent der Fakultät für Malerei an der Universität der Schönen Künste in Poznań. Mitarbeiter der BWA Drewniana in Świdnik und der Galerie Łęctwo in Poznań. Organisator der Anthologie – einer Reihe von Live-Präsentationen, die zeitgenössischen bildenden Künstlern und Dichtern gewidmet sind. Er arbeitet an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste von St. I. Witkiewicz in Słupsk.
Malarz, autor performansów i słuchowisk. Dyplom na Wydziale Malarstwa na Uniwersytecie Artystycznym w Poznaniu. Związany z BWA Drewniana w Świdniku i galerią Łęctwo w Poznaniu. Organizator antologii – serii prezentacji na żywo poświęconych artystom wizualnym i poetom. Pracuje w Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych im. Stanisława Ignacego Witkiewicza w Słupsku.
Painter. Author of performances, poems and spoken stories. Graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the University of Fine Arts in Poznań. Associated with BWA Drewniana in Świdnik and Łęctwo Gallery in Poznań. Organiser of the anthology – a series of live presentations dedicated to contemporary visual artists and poets. He works at the High School of Fine Arts of Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz in Słupsk.
Tetiana Kornieieva (UA / DE)
Geboren in Kiew, Tetiana Kornieieva ist Künstlerin, Performerin und Kuratorin. Sie ist Mitbegründerin von Live Art Lab – einer unabhängigen Performance-Kunstgruppe mit Sitz in Kiew, deren Hauptaugenmerk auf Forschung und kollektiver Interaktion im öffentlichen Raum liegt. In ihrer Arbeit erforscht sie das Thema Identität anhand von Erzählungen über die persönliche und kollektive Geschichte. Tetiana entwickelt die Konzepte der performativen Architektur und der performativen Landschaft als politische Struktur. Sie ist Kuratorin des Kyiv International Performance Art Festival „Performance November“, Mitbegründerin des Berliner Festivals „preserve memories – provide energy“ und Mitbegründerin des deutsch-ukrainischen Künstler-Kuratoren-Duos „TT Collective“.
Urodzona w Kijowie Tetiana Kornieieva jest artystką, performerką i kuratorką. Współzałożycielka Live Art Lab – niezależnej grupy performatywnej z siedzibą w Kijowie, której głównym celem są badania i zbiorowe interakcje w przestrzeni publicznej. W swojej pracy bada temat tożsamości, wykorzystując narracje o historii osobistej i zbiorowej. Tetiana rozwija koncepcje architektury i krajobrazu performatywnego jako struktury politycznej. Jest kuratorką Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Sztuki Performance w Kijowie „Performance November“, współzałożycielką berlińskiego festiwalu „preserve memories – provide energy“ oraz współzałożycielką niemiecko-ukraińskiego duetu artystyczno-kuratorskiego TT Collective.
Born in Kyiv, Tetiana Kornieieva is an artist, performer and curator. She is a co-founder of Live Art Lab – a Kyiv-based independent performance art group whose primary focus is research and collective interaction in public space. In her work, she explores the topic of identity, using narratives of personal and collective history. Tetiana develops the concepts of performative architecture and performative landscape as a political structure. She is the curator of the Kyiv International Performance Art Festival „Performance November“, co-founder of the Berlin festival “preserve memories – provide energy” and co-founder of the German-Ukrainian artistic-curatorial duo TT Collective.
Melisa Kurtuluş (TR)
Die in Antakya, Türkei, lebende Künstlerin Melisa Kurtuluş ist kreative Tanz- und Theaterpädagogin, Forscherin, Dokumentarfilmerin und Tänzerin (basierend auf Butoh-Tanz, somatischem und ekstatischem Tanz, Feldenkrais und Mikusano Mitakara). Sie war schon immer an der Beziehung zwischen Körper, Geist, Selbst und Identität im Alltag interessiert. Wie der Körper durch kommunikative und soziale Interaktionen und kulturelle Einflüsse subjektiviert wird und wie die nonverbalen Signale des Ausdrucks von Stimme, Emotionen und Körperbewegung eingesetzt werden. In den letzten Jahren begann sie sich für die Möglichkeiten der Performance-Kunst zu interessieren, insbesondere für die Fähigkeit, Körper und Stimme als Ort der künstlerischen und spirituellen Erforschung einzusetzen.
Pochodząca z Antakyi w Turcji, Melisa Kurtuluş jest kreatywną edukatorką tańca i dramaturgii, badaczką, dokumentalistką, tancerką (bazującą na tańcu butoh, tańcu somatycznym i ekstatycznym, metodą Feldenkraisa i Mikusano Mitakary). Zawsze interesowała ją relacja między ciałem, umysłem, jaźnią i tożsamością w codziennym życiu. W jaki sposób ciało jest subiektywizowane poprzez interakcje komunikacyjne i społeczne oraz wpływy kulturowe, a także w jaki sposób niewerbalne wskazówki są wykorzystywane w procesie zarządzania tożsamością, ekspresji głosu, emocji i ruchu ciała. W ostatnich latach zainteresowała się możliwościami sztuki performance, zwłaszcza umiejętnością wykorzystania ciała i głosu jako miejsca artystycznej i duchowej eksploracji.
Antakya, Turkey-based artist Melisa Kurtuluş is a creative dance and drama educator, researcher, documentary filmmaker, and dancer (based on butoh dance, somatic and ecstatic dance, Feldenkrais and Mikusano Mitakara). She is always interested in the relationship between body, mind, self, and identity in everyday life. How the body is subjective through communicative and social interactions and cultural influences and how nonverbal cues are deployed in the process of identity management, expression of voice, emotions, and body movement. Recently she became interested in the possibilities of performance art, especially the ability to use body and voice as a site of artistic and spiritual exploration.
Jerzy Norkowski (PL)
Performer, Autor von intermedialen Installationen, Organisator von Basis- und und nicht-institutionellen Ausstellungen. Er erhielt einen MA-Abschluss an der WA UMCS im Jan Gryka’s Jan Grykas Studio für Zeichnung und Intermedia im Jahr 2018 und bereitet derzeit seine Doktorarbeit unter der Leitung von Robert Kuśmirowski vor. Zwischen 2016 und 2018 war er Präsident der Towot Squat Foundation. Er war Mitarbeiter in der Programmabteilung des ACKiM „Chatka Żaka“. In seinen Aktivitäten verbindet er audiovisuelle Techniken und Performance kunst. Er hat mit dem Socially Engaged Art Workshop – Rewiry zusammengearbeitet, der Galerie Labirynt, der Galerie Biała, dem Zentrum für polnische Bildhauerei in Oronsko, der Künstlerischen Vereinigung Pracownia Otwarta in Lublin, ACK „Chatka Żaka“ in Lublin, Zentrum der Begegnung der Kulturen in Lubin, der I Am Beautiful Woman Foundation und die Stiftung PKO Bank Polski.
Performer, autor instalacji intermedialnych, organizator oddolnych i pozainstytucjonalnych wystaw. W 2018 roku uzyskał tytuł magistra na WA UMCS w Pracowni Rysunku i Intermediów Jana Gryki, obecnie przygotowuje pracę doktorską pod kierunkiem Roberta Kuśmirowskiego. W latach 2016-2018 pełnił funkcję prezesa Fundacji Towot Squat. Był pracownikiem działu programowego w ACKiM Chatka Żaka. W swoich działaniach łączy techniki audiowizualne i sztukę performance. Współpracował z Pracownią Sztuki Zaangażowanej Społecznie – Rewiry, Galerią Labirynt, Galerią Białą, Centrum Rzeźby Polskiej w Orońsku, Stowarzyszeniem Artystycznym Pracownia Otwarta w Lublinie, ACK Chatka Żaka w Lublinie, Centrum Spotkania Kultur w Lubinie, Fundacją Piękne Panie i Fundacją PKO Banku Polskiego.

He received MA degree at WA UMCS in Jan Gryka’s Drawing and Intermedia Studio in 2018, and he is currently preparing PhD thesis under the direction of Robert Kuśmirowski. In his activities, he combines audiovisual techniques and performance art. Kenan Nuraydın (TR)
Der in Antakya / Türkei lebende Künstler schafft seine Werke auf der Grundlage seines persönlichen Lebens. Seine Arbeiten handeln von Orten, Metaphern, Körpern, städtischem Leben, Konsum, Sicherheit, Machtmechanismen, Herrschaft, Statuten und sozialen, kulturellen und wirtschaftlichen Interaktionen, die in der Geografie, in der er lebt, stattfinden. In seinen Werken formt er mit Hilfe seines Körpers eine erzählerische Sprache, indem er Codes des Widerspruchs verwendet und eine politische Haltung entwickelt, die ihm von der Geografie auferlegt wird. Für ihn ist der Körper die älteste, fortschrittlichste und ihm am meisten gemäße Waffe. Der Künstler, der an vielen nationalen und internationalen Ausstellungen und Veranstaltungen teilnimmt.
Pochodzący z tureckiej Antiochii artysta swoje prace opiera na osobistych przeżyciach. Dotyczą one miejsc, metariałów, ciał, życia miejskiego, konsumpcji, bezpieczeństwa, mechanizmów władzy, dominacji, statutu oraz społecznych, kulturowych i ekonomicznych interakcji zachodzących w geograficznej przestrzeni, w której mieszka. W swoich pracach tworzy język narracji za pomocą ciała, wykorzystując kody niezgody i rozwijając postawę polityczną narzuconą przez geografię. Ciało jest wehikułem ataku, który jest nie tylko silny, niezniszczalny, prowokujący, destrukcyjny, defetystyczny i nieposłuszny, ale też odpowiedni dla artysty. Uważa, że ciało jest najstarszą i najbardziej postępową bronią. Brał udział w wielu krajowych i międzynarodowych wystawach i wydarzeniach.
Antakya, Turkey-based artist creates his works by basing them on his personal life. His works are about places, materials, bodies, urban life, consumption, safety, power mechanisms, domination, statute, and social, cultural, and economic interactions taking place in the geography where he lives. In his works, he forms a narrative language with the help of his body by using codes of dissent and developing political attitude which is imposed by geography. The body is an attack vehicle that is not only strong, indestructible, provocative, disruptive, defeatist, and disobedient but also qualified for the artist. He thinks that the body is the oldest and the most progressive weapon. The artist attends a lot of national and international exhibitions and events.
Dystopic Symptoms (DE)
Ein Künstlerduo, das aus den Sound-, Video- und Collagekünstlern Mert und Serra besteht und in Berlin lebt. Das Duo treibt sich gerne in den Bereichen Musik, Video, Collage, Soundscape, performative Aktionen und Installationen herum und arbeitet mit Künstlern aus anderen Disziplinen zusammen, um ihre künstlerischen Arbeiten zu produzieren. Das Duo versucht, durch die Schaffung von Kunstwerken in hybriden Formen seine Hemmung, seine Kritik, seine Bedenken und seine Gefühle gegenüber oberflächlichen politischen Diskursen, jeder Art von Bigotterie und Voreingenommenheit, kurz gesagt, dem Versagen des Menschen auszudrücken.

Duet uwielbia otaczać się muzyką, obrazami wideo,pejzażem dźwiękowym i działaniami performatywnymi oraz instalacjami, w swoich działaniach współpracując z artystami z różnorodnych dyscyplin. Poprzez tworzenie dzieł sztuki w formach hybrydowych, duet stara się wyrazić swoje utknięcie, krytykę, obawy i uczucia dotyczące płytkich dyskursów politycznych, wszelkiego rodzaju bigoterii i uprzedzeń, zagrożeń antropogenicznych, w skrócie – niepowodzeń antropocenu.
An artist duo of sound, video, and collage artists Mert and Serra, based in Berlin. The duo loves to hang around music, video, collage, soundscape and performative actions, and installations and collaborates with artists from other disciplines to produce their artistic works. The duo tries to express their stuckness, criticisms, concerns, and feelings about shallow political discourses, every kind of bigotry and bias, anthropogenic hazards, in short, failures of the Anthropocene, through creating art pieces that are in hybrid forms.
