Adam Michálek’s site specific performance reflected the history of Miejski Dom Kultury in Zgorzelec (PL), especialy the removal of statues exhibited in the main hall. Here Michálek enters the space through a side stairway and begins to sing and tune to the resonance of the hall, keeping his eyes shut. Upon opening his eyes, the audience can decide to maintain eyecontact and by that trigger singing and measuring, leading to Adam performing with himself in the mirror, and finishing with symbolic salt grains replacing the removed sculptures. In this performance of no objects or words, Adam moves and assumes himself as a contact microphone, spiraling around the space.
