Emrah Gökdemir is a visual & performance artist and visual researcher. Since 2012, he has been working in the field of anthropology in collaboration with Prof. Yael Navaro at the University of Cambridge, conducting social anthropology research in the city of Antakya. Since 2022, he has been a member of the curatorial team of the Stre!fen Performance Art Festival in Görlitz–Zgorzelec. He currently lives and works in Leipzig.
The main themes of Emrah’s work include memory, loss, catastrophe, time, the known and the unknown, and social relations.
With Emrah’s performance on 3 July 2026, will OPEN the Fesival open this year.
